Expert CIPP Sewer Line Repair

When there’s an issue with your sewer lines, there are a couple of ways to fix it: CIPP and trenchless pipe bursting. While pipe bursting is a great option if your land is properly assessed, CIPP sewer lining is one of the most efficient methods of sewer line repair. Heiden Plumbing is also one of very few contractors in Wisconsin who offer it.

Cured-in-Place Piping

If you’re looking for a sewer line repair that is the least disruptive to your home or business, this is the perfect method. CIPP involves pulling a felt tube saturated with resin into the damaged pipe. Our master plumbers do this in one of three ways: from the upstream point, the downstream point, or from the downstream point to a blind end.

The process looks like this:

  1. Televise the pipeline
  2. Remove all blockages
  3. Measure the diameter, depth, and length of the pipe
  4. Mix and measure resin
  5. Saturate the new liner
  6. Load the liner into an inverter
  7. Feed it into the damaged pipe
  8. Invert the liner using air pressure

How CIPP Benefits You

One of the top benefits is that we can fix weak or leaky pipes without a full excavation. We only need to dig to find an access point—from there, we can line existing pipelines without inverting into city sewer mains or disrupting above-ground flow. That will save you the time and money normally associated with not only excavation, but clean-up and landscape repair.

Other benefits include jointless lining that particulates and fats flow over easily and a reduction in infiltration and leaks.

A backed-up line is both frustrating and potentially costly. But it’s also preventable. Fats, oils, and grease from cooking are some of the biggest culprits of clogs. Instead of washing them down the sink—where they can stick to pipes—let them harden and cool off a bit, then throw them away. Similarly, be careful of what you flush down the toilet. Be sure to throw out paper towels, baby wipes, or sanitary napkins instead of flushing them.

The biggest symptom of a sewer clog that you’ll see will be with the drains in your house. Whether they’re backed up or slow, something bigger could be wrong. Other signs include:

  • Gurgling or bubbling sounds when water drains
  • Bad, sewage-like odors coming from your drains
  • Water seeping and setting out on your lawn

Your first step is to call Heiden Plumbing to help sort things out. We offer trenchless and CIPP line repair services—and are one of the few contractors in Wisconsin who do.

Be cautious and put safety first—sewage is a health hazard. Have any carpets that were affected professionally cleaned, and wash other surfaces with hot water and soap. Also, be sure to get protective gear, such as rubber gloves, boots, and goggles, when dealing with cleaning. And be sure to wash your hands and affected clothes when you’re done.
